Preparation that starts with the person
For mobility, HR and talent leaders, the practical question is how to help someone feel prepared and work effectively in a new environment. Intercultural support connects the move with the person’s experience and the relationships they are about to build.

A new leadership role brings its own transition
A leader may be moving countries, taking on a regional role or leading a team across locations. Alongside cultural adjustment, they may be building credibility, finding their leadership voice and understanding new stakeholder expectations.
Individual coaching connects these questions with actual conversations, relationships and decisions.

Preparing for a new country or global role
Who is global mobility support for?
We support relocating leaders and professionals, people entering global or regional roles, and accompanying families within the agreed scope. We work with global mobility, HR and talent teams to connect the support with the person’s transition and organisational context.
How does intercultural preparation help?
It gives people space to explore how communication, trust, feedback, authority and everyday expectations may differ in a new environment. They can prepare questions, consider their own preferences and develop ways of building relationships with curiosity and confidence.
Is support limited to moves between the U.S. and India?
The transition can involve different countries and regions. Programmes are shaped around the destination and the people involved. Working Effectively Across the U.S. and India is one approved programme within our wider intercultural offering.
How is a leadership transition different from relocation preparation?
Relocation preparation considers adjustment to a country, culture and everyday environment. A leadership transition also involves role expectations, credibility, influence, decisions and stakeholder relationships. The support can bring both perspectives together when a leader moves internationally.
Can support continue after arrival?
Yes. An engagement can connect preparation with reflection, coaching and practical application during the transition. The emphasis may evolve as the person encounters workplace expectations, builds relationships and settles into the role.
Is family transition support available?
Family Transition Support is part of our approved mobility offering. It focuses on preparation and cultural adaptation for the wider family experience. We discuss who will participate and the appropriate scope when planning the engagement.
Can a cultural profile and debrief be included?
Yes. A cultural profile, including the GlobeSmart® Profile where appropriate, can help a participant explore work-style preferences. The debrief connects the insight with the person, destination, role and relationships rather than treating culture as a fixed description of individuals.
How do you tailor an engagement?
We discuss the person’s experience, role, destination, family situation and organisational context. The resulting support may combine a country briefing, intercultural preparation, a cultural profile, individual coaching and follow-up. Delivery and timing are agreed around the transition.
